New friends and old
Before our day of meetings, Marcia was brave enough to watch a noma surgery in the OR at the Cure hospital. I happily interacted with the recovering patients outside in the ward.
Then, we met a great gentleman who has a number of businesses and is involved in a wide variety of worthwhile endeavors here in Niamey. We visited a bank and a new Chinese restaurant. It had great food!
Then, we had another meeting with a delightful couple serving here in Niger and also involved in a bunch of different projects. They served us apple pie which was delicious! (Who gets apple pie in Niger? We do...I guess. :))
Then it was dinner with the Negrini family. Jean-François is the surgeon at the Cure hospital. His family is great and we had a wonderful time of story-telling and honest sharing. It was a lot of fun. His four children are terrific!
Now it's off to bed (after a little preparation to lead communion tomorrow at Pastor Ali's church.)
Thanks for following along!
