Can't say enough about Cure International! They are doing an amazing work here in Niger! If you ever wanted to give to something that would make a huge difference in a child's life, Cure is a great organization to give to! The staff is remarkable. It was a wonderful day observing the children's clinic today! Tomorrow there will be lots of meetings! Thanks for following me. Sorry for not getting a post out until today.

New friends and old

Before our day of meetings, Marcia was brave enough to watch a noma surgery in the OR at the Cure hospital. I happily interacted with the recovering patients outside in the ward. Then, we met a great gentleman who has a number of businesses and is involved in a wide variety of worthwhile endeavors here in Niamey. We visited a bank and a new Chinese restaurant. It had great food! Then, we had another meeting with a delightful couple serving here in Niger and also involved in a bunch of different projects. They served us apple pie which was delicious! (Who gets apple pie in Niger? We do...I guess. :)) Then it was dinner with the Negrini family. Jean-François is the surgeon at the Cure hospital. His family is great and we had a wonderful time of story-telling and honest sharing. It was a lot of fun. His four children are terrific! Now it's off to bed (after a little preparation to lead communion tomorrow at Pastor Ali's church.) Thanks for following along!

All is well in Paris. Had a really good night's sleep, which was much needed. We'll have breakfast this morning, check out of the hotel, hop on a small train to take us back to the airport terminal and away we go...over Spain and through the Sahara to the land of Niger we go. Dinner tonight with friends and then the meetings begin tomorrow. Just found out that my cousin delivered her third child today back in CO. Congratulations!! Not much else to report! I'll post again soon assuming the internet is working in Niger.

Hello you blog followers! We landed a little while ago here in beautiful London. There was a lot of turbulence on our flight over here. I had quite the time not spilling my drink at one point when there were a bunch of drops. We're off to Paris. That.me for following!
